Dr. David J. Demko, Editor-in-Chief AgeVenture News, www.demko.com, 10-16-05 Hatred's Heroes are at it again. Despite Dr. King's legacy of brotherly love, black leaders Farrakhan and Jackson choose to give America's Black Movement a black eye. How? Blaming natural disasters and all other social ills on persons and groups that do not share their hateful message. Abandoning precedent, the 2005 Million March leaders allowed both women and all people of color to participate. Lest you mistake this gesture for open-mindedness, think again. Showing his true colors, Farrakhan renewed the legacy of hatred, this time on another social group. Farrakhan's gay-bashing speech illustrated an ever-expanding hate-list. A list that appears to have first included all whites, then all Jews, and now all gays. Can you imagine if this guy ever gained real power. We would all end up living in an equal opportunity society, as in ... everyone would be hated. Mature men know that bigotry betters no movement. Heroes of hatred, your time has passed. Americans of all colors and creeds are turning their backs on your divisive message. We still believe that "a house divided cannot stand".
